I ntroducing Cognition Global Concepts who aim to help start up founders turn ideas into profitable businesses.

Tell us in your own words about your business:

At Cognition Global Concepts Limited, we work with entrepreneurs to start, manage, and accelerate growth through Business Coaching Mastermind and Mentoring Programs. While we work with Startup Founders to turn ideas into profitable sustainable businesses, we also work with SME Owners to develop strategies to double productivity and profit 10x.

What do you do?

Through the years of working with successful entrepreneurs and small business owners, we have developed a comprehensive business coaching tool - The EntreCoach™ Program, which helps entrepreneurs to eliminate complexities, improve clarity, and create more value for their clients. We walk our Startup clients through Lean Culture methodology of starting a business and creating products and services that customers want. For fast growth SMEs, we help to define what the next three years would look like. We identify appropriate strategies that they need to execute in order to reach there, and hold them accountable to execute them. Being entrepreneurs ourselves, we understand their journey, and help them reach their destinations 10X faster.

When did you start? We incorporated as a Company in 2011.

Why did you start?

I started my career in banking. Being a Chartered Accountant, I worked in several departments of financial services companies in Britain and Africa for almost 20 years. I performed key advisory roles to enhance performance and growth of small business owners and entrepreneurs who obtained finance from some of the banks I worked for. In 2008, I left full time employment to pursue my passion in providing trusted advice, coaching, and strategic consulting to business owners. I then trained with The Coaching Academy, United Kingdom before becoming a qualified business coach.

What has your journey been like?

There is a huge difference between working for someone, and taking the risk of being your own boss with no guarantee of success or income. That was not only a great lesson for me, it constantly shapes my thinking and reinforces my commitment to support entrepreneurs with result-focused tools and strategies to help them grow faster.

What challenges have you encountered?

Regardless of my experience from corporate organisations which I thought was great, growing my own business from Startup to where we are presently was a challenge. Like many Startup Founders, I made several wrong decisions; I invested in wrong strategies, and of course lost money as a result. But the good news is that each mistake and challenge I made has puts me in a better perspective to coach, mentor, and advice my clients successfully.

How did you overcome the challenges?

I think the keywords for many entrepreneurs are courage, persistence, and patience. That said, I have never stopped learning from people who are “doing well” in their respective endeavours. I have personal mentors and coaches who advice and hold me accountable for my goals. That helps me to stay focused.

Where are you now?

I think I’m still growing, and I see lots of super opportunities ahead for me and my clients.

Where do you hope to be?

I really want to be the best at what I’m doing; supporting hundreds of thousand of entrepreneurs to build a Self-Sustaining Enterprise. I want to see my clients be in constant control of their businesses, be more productive, get the right results done at all times, have a sense of purpose, and enjoy the satisfaction and freedoms of entrepreneurship. That’s where I want to be!
